Education is of utmost importance among parents who are concerned for their children’s future. Then there are children who unfortunately don’t have parents and are deprived of basic essentials and cannot afford education for a stable future. Fortunately, there are many NPOs (nonprofit organisations) who work towards providing opportunities for the orphaned and vulnerable children’s education and essential skill development. Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life: the means because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood and the end because it increases one’s awareness on a range of issues – from healthcare to appropriate social behaviour to understanding one’s rights – and in the process help him/her evolve into a better citizen.
